The key to Laura Geller’s success seems to lie somewhere in between her tenured beauty expertise and her affable, approachable and “best friend in the biz” personality. Not happy just being one of the industry’s most recognized and talented makeup artists, Laura has made a career out of infusing glamour into every girl’s day with innovative, functional products that are easy-to-use and easier to fall in love with.

From an early age, Laura knew her future would be in makeup. "I used to ask if I could work at the makeup counters for free just so I could be near the products," she explains. Her path to becoming one of the industry’s top makeup artists swiftly followed as she went from beauty school to Broadway where she made up theater's rising stars. Soon after Geller's handy work was gracing the small screen including on-air talent at CBS, NBC, AMC, and HB0.

In 1993, success struck again as Laura opened Laura Geller Makeup Studios on New York City's posh Upper East Side. The Studio’s purpose was simple: teach women the how-to of cosmetics and hands-on technique to master it. Laura sought to simplify makeup application. "I saw a void in the makeup industry. Women didn't know how to apply makeup, so I wanted to communicate my knowledge and experience," she says. Today, the studio is a showcase for Laura’s eponymous line of cosmetics and is also where those in the know flock for 5-star makeup application, brow shaping and more.

Today, Laura’s exciting adventure continues as the Laura Geller line rolls out into select Sephora doors and at Sephora.com. “I’m thrilled to be expanding into Sephora and see so many synergies between my customer and the woman who shops at Sephora,” says Laura. With this exciting new development for the brand Laura certainly has some surprises and developments in store from new products and kit exclusives, to advice, tips and certainly more fun!
